Since 1971, Venice in Peril has funded, totally or partially, 40 buildings and works of art as well as financed bursaries for students of conservation to study in Venice. The challenge is not merely to conserve monuments but to arrest further decay as the city continues to sink and waters continue to rise at an alarming rate.
