Support Venice by Running the Marathon!

Camilla Purdon, a director of the Cork Street gallery Messum's, is running in the 25th-anniversary Venice Marathon in aid of Venice in Peril, of which John Julius Norwich is chairman.

As part of her fundraising campaign (JustGiving), she has organised a raffle (tickets cost £5), with the superb first prize of a two-night stay at Hotel Cipriani (above). Other prizes include a stay in the Priory Hotel, Isle of Wight, and dinner at Jamie Oliver's Italian Restaurant, and there's a silent auction of paintings of Venice by Alan Cotton and Jane Corsellis
