This is a regional department of the Ministry of Labour serving the region, the Social Services and local systems; it offers projects and programmes to public administration departments, corporations, local bodies, agencies and organisations operating within the labour market, with the aim of

	encouraging the matching of supply and demand in the labour market;
	promoting initiatives designed to create new job opportunities;
	supporting the weakest sectors of the labour market.

The Agenzia per l'Impiego del Veneto, in collaboration with the Labour exchanges, local authorities, local organisations and social services and other public and private bodies, aims to create a modern network of services connected with employment, by means of:

	permanent monitoring of employment trends, and of demand and supply in the labour market; studies of local labour markets and their requirements';
	collecting and analysing data about the mobile workforce, and about recent graduates;
	promoting re-employment schemes, job search and training courses and work experience within professional bodies or companies;
	producing and updating information aimed at those seeking to change their job, or seeking to enter the labour market for the first time; producing publicity material about the labour market for schools and universities;
	giving economic support and easily accessible information (in collaboration with public and private organisations) to young people to assist them in finding work independently, or to assist new businesses or business partnerships);
	offering advice and assistance to public authorities, particularly to the town councils, provincial governments and to hospital managements, relating to the setting up of social projects for the temporary or exceptional employment of those with special needs, or migrant workers, or those unemployed for more than twelve months;
	offering similar advice to the voluntary sector and the community and those engaged in finding work for the weaker sectors.

Activities and services

Analysis of the labour market : we aim to supply institutions and the social services with up-to-date and accurate statistics for the creation of policy, and to supply academics and students with materials to assist in their analysis of the labour market in all its aspects.
