Church of San Trovaso
San Trovaso, 1987 Venice in Peril chose to support this project in keeping with its mission to help conserve lesser known buildings. San Trovaso is a Palladian-style building serving currently as the university church. The roof was leaking and the vault inside was damaged. Urgent structural work was required to prevent the contents of the building being endangered. It was re-roofed in 1987 with a contribution from Venice in Peril. The project was undertaken in conjunction with the Magistrato alle Acque (a Venetian branch of the ministry of public works), which committed residual funds to repairing and replastering the vault.
