An introspective group exhibition taking the cemetery of San Michele Island, in the Venetian lagoon, as a conceptual horizon, an emblematic space where endings and continuities coexist. Developed in collaboration with the Venice in Peril Fund and curated by its director Lavinia Filippi, the exhibition reflects on preservation not as maintenance of a fixed status quo, but as a precise and attentive negotiation between history, care and transformation. Through materiality, gesture and craft, Venice is approached here as a city that endures: continually negotiating, with fragility, by transforming decline into new layers of meaning.

Artists: Carolyn Barker- Mill, Toby Christian, Coco Crampton, Leonardo Frigo, Domitilla Harding, Tiina Itkonen, Massimo Nordio.

An opening reception will be organised by Belmacz Gallery Tuesday 21 April, 6-8pm.
