Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation Visit
Young Supporters' Event

Monday 28 April 2025
Venice in Peril’s Young Supporters spent an evening at the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation for a curator-led tour of the current London exhibition Ellipse and Ellipsis, guided by curator Vittoria de Franchis.
The Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation is a non-profit arts organisation that champions innovation in contemporary art and design, with a strong focus on ecology, sustainability, and inclusivity. Based in both London and Venice, the foundation provides a vital platform for emerging and established voices in the arts.
Ellipse and Ellipsis is a multimedia environment emerging through installation, sound and design with the ellipse and the ellipsis as guiding tropes. Works by Anthea Hamilton, Gabriella Hirst, Jasper Marsalis, Jota Mombaca, Sandra Mujinga, Objects of Common Interest, and the Acousmonium ODAE by Neuf Voix form the tonics of a scenography where repetition, metamorphosis and possibility intertwine – and are deciphered through co-habitation and collective experience.
The exhibition offered much to reflect on, with Sandra Mujinga’s immersive soundscape Memory Stream anchoring the experience – its focus on water deeply resonating with our group’s connection to Venice.
The tour was concluded with drinks and conversation.
