Venice in Peril

The Trustees of Venice in Peril CIO are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chair and Vice Chair of the charity. Guy Elliott will succeed Jonathan Keates as Chair, and Anthony Roberts will assume the new role of Vice Chair. The appointments effective from 27 April 2022.

 

Guy Elliott brings to the Board of Trustees extensive boardroom experience in international business as well as a long involvement and interest in the arts. 

 

Guy retired recently from Sir John Soane’s Museum, which he had chaired since 2013. He previously was on the development boards of the Art Fund and the Canterbury Trust. Guy also chairs the Prudence Trust. 

 

He was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of Rio Tinto for eleven years. He was also a member of the Takeover Panel, and on the boards of Cadbury, SAB Miller and Shell.

 

Anthony has had an international career in business and technology, most recently for six years as Global Chief Information Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance, based in London and Chicago.  He is now an entrepreneur, investor and business advisor and lives in London and the Veneto.  Anthony is an Italophile, a fluent Italian speaker and has a longstanding interest in the arts.
